Sun glittering on the lake,
Only one more rig to make.

Wind whispering through the leaves,
Sweet hint of summer in the breeze.

Golden warmth bathes my skin,
Excitement bubbling from within.

Silvery scales flashing past,
Quickly, quickly! Cast, cast, cast!

Shimmering, twisting, coral belly,
Easing forward, mud and welly.

Rainbow reflections, glint of an eye,
Burning bright, jewel in the sky.

Muscle tense with all my might,
Reeling, reeling, taut and tight.

Cheeks tightening, expanding grin,
I threw the old tin can back in!
